Housing Services
QCAP’s Housing Program is providing all housing services through phone, email and video conference meetings. All workshops, including First Time Home Buyer Workshops and Affordable Housing Workshops, have been converted to a virtual platform until further notice. Please check QCAP’s calendar of events for updated information and virtual events. Please call the housing intake line (617-657-5376) or send an email (housinginfo@qcap.org) if you need assistance.
QCAP has several funding sources including Emergency Solution Grant funding that can assist qualified Quincy residents with rental arrears or moving costs. We also have additional funding that can assist qualified Norfolk County residents with one month of rental arrears. Please call our housing intake line for assistance: (617) 657-5376.
Financial REACH Center
The Financial REACH Center is currently providing services through phone, email, and video conferencing. Please check our schedule of upcoming REACH workshops on our QCAP calendar. The Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) at NeighborWorks Housing Solutions is the "front door” to the agency. Whether you are a homeowner, tenant, landlord, or at risk of homelessness, or have a question for a friend… we are here to answer your questions and help you figure out your options. Our goal is to provide you with the information that you need to make the best decision. Our staff have a broad knowledge of resources in southern Massachusetts and can assess your situation and connect you to the appropriate resources and assistance. We also have a strong focus on group education addressing topics such as Fair Housing and Lead Paint Hazards. We offer workshops on:

Affordable Housing Workshops
Metro Housing|Boston offers an array of trainings for tenants, property owners, and service providers to learn more about affordable housing. Many of these trainings are offered free of charge. Check back often to view listings and dates of upcoming workshops for tenants and register online.
Unless otherwise indicated, all workshops take place at the Metro Housing|Boston office at 1411 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

Start Right
Start your tenancy out on the right foot! Learn techniques and strategies to establish a good working relationship with your landlord and increase your chances of staying in your home long-term. This workshop will also include information on the eviction process, including tenants’ rights.
Affordable Housing Basics
The session is open to tenants seeking information about affordable housing options. Learn about criteria, wait lists, and how to apply.
Housing Strategies Clinic
Finding and keeping housing is difficult. There are issues of affordability, location, access to services and the quality of the housing. The clinic speakers will provide you with information, strategies and problem solving as valuable tools to assist you to meet your housing goals. The topics in the clinic are housing search, utility resources and fair housing.
Credit Boot Camp
This workshop is presented by the Boston Home Center. This is a free six-hour course to learn everything you need to know about establishing and maintaining a record of good credit, and how to avoid credit traps. Please note you must attend all three courses to obtain your certificate.
Homebuying 101
Homebuying 101 is the Boston Home Center’s all new Introduction to Homeownership seminar. In 1.5 hours, we’ll help you understand what it takes to buy a home, and give you strategies to help you get ready to be successful.
